Savion grew up in Jacksonville, North Carolina where playing sports was required in his household to stay active and out of trouble. From basketball to tennis, there are few sports that he didn’t play as a young athlete.

Savion’s interest in pursuing fitness as a career started at a physical therapy clinic, where he had the opportunity to observe the process of rehabilitation with various populations during high school. This experience led him to pursue and receive an Army ROTC scholarship at North Carolina Wesleyan University, majoring in Exercise Science. Being an ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) accredited university, he experienced the powerful impact that fitness can have on quality of life, finding that exercise is indeed medicine. Through his own experiences and also working with clients, the importance of spiritual and physical resilience when it comes to overcoming life’s challenges became clear to him.

As he began pursuing his passion for physical health, Savion also started on his path of spirituality which has led him to become a future Chaplain in the US Army. Savion is eager to learn more about himself, his clients, and the fitness industry to best serve our community. He is eager to walk with everyone he works with as they move forward to being 1% better each day!
